About the Founder and Story Behind the Teaching Cross
Efstathios ( Steve) A. Regopoulos
Sixty-five years ago, in my youth, I thought I had my destiny planned. I became an architect, a professional baseball player, where I would become a kid’s hero that would result in my fame and fortune. These fantasies failed to materialize during my early college years, leaving me upset and angry at God and others. Beginning in 1965, having the God-given fortitude and creative gifts, yet feeling that God somehow betrayed me. I reset my sights and energy towards entering the world of real estate by investing, developing, and owning diverse properties and eventually becoming a multi-million dollar entrepreneur.
Although I tried to make every project honor God first and money procurement second, looking back, I recognized the pursuit of wealth was really for obtaining self-worth vs. financial wealth at the forefront as it dominated my workaholic efforts 24/7. Yet the money created was used lastly for my comfort, but for primarily serving my family and funding multiple partnerships. As I persevered through the peaks and valleys of many business cycles, my biggest fear was rejection. I also thought the way to avoid rejection and confrontation was by constantly throwing money into the pot, being first to write the check and last to get paid if I got paid at all.

How to pray for salvation
If you haven’t received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, pray to God and tell Him you are aware you are a sinner and are sorry for your sin (this covers all sin). Next, tell Him you believe His Son, Jesus died on the Cross for the punishment of your sin. Then thank God for the sacrifice Jesus made and asked Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit and help you live the Christian life. If you receive it by faith, you have eternal life in heaven and a purpose in serving while on earth. Don’t worry about being perfect. Just keep believing, and God will teach you along the way. The booklet will help you with this.
